The Excuse That You Believe

“When you evaluate his effectiveness, given his resources and his challenges, how does he stack up?” I asked.

Audrey was quick to reply. “No way. That’s the problem. We have a results based performance review system. He is obviously not getting the results we want, but there is always something, some circumstance that prevents him or his team from delivering the goal. And that something, that circumstance always seems to make sense.”

“You mean the excuse that gets him off the hook is the excuse that you believe.”

Mostly people are evaluated by the final result
and the people are evaluated according to what they have achieved and what appears even when the person is preparing V C.V. he recalled the final outcome of his work without mentioning the conditions or resources ……, As for the excuse is accepted in some cases & sometimes not there is no definite role for this sometimes one excuse is obvious & true, but is not accepted and at other times be weak or untrue excuses and accepted it is totally depended on the bosses views but there is a very bad consequence if the person’s name is related with a failed project even if he is not punished directly he will suffer from that in the least he will not be given good project or even no projects at all
