Hi,
I'm enjoying the story and I like the emphasis on the value that a manager brings. I teach management skills and in one course I always use the model that a manager needs to be thought of a management service provider to their team. I get the class to think of all the services a manager can bring such as coaching, resource management, team building & even motivating the team. I wonder if Joan in the story will come up with similar things - look forward to seeing if she does
Kind regards
